I also provide a mentoring service, whereby I provide you with guidance to enable you to do the research yourself.
This can be at any level of involvement that you wish.
At its most basic level it can be as simple as having one meeting and making recommendations on which avenues of research are most likely to produce the result you are hoping to find.
Other clients have chosen a higher level of involvement, which includes guiding you through the process on a step by step basis, with further review meetings after each phase of research.
Another option available is to attend repositories of original source material in person with you, which enables you to make informed decisions about prioritising research options on the spot, which can sometimes result in you accessing original material even though your available time is very limited. There’s nothing quite as exhilarating as holding in your hand a document signed by your direct ancestor in the 1800s or perhaps even in the 1700s. For one client, the ancestor’s signature found was from the 1600s ! This is exceptional, but it shows that sometimes you can be blessed with extraordinarily good luck.
Mentoring is charged on a time and costs basis – please contact me if you’d like to discuss what’s best for you.
